FXGT AE82/AE92 Gearboxes? Help

Postby Maxwedge » Thu Jun 15, 2006 6:28 pm

Are all C52 gearboxes the same or are some different: AE82 4age appear to allow the starter on the exhaust side and AE92 4age on both sides. Question can I use a AE92 C52 in a AE82 and do all the drive splines fit?

yes you can use them

drive splines do fit...

beware on the ae82 of the water on the back of the block... the bulge on the intake side sometimes makes contact with this pipe, not allowing the box to fit properly.

Yep, I haven't actually tried a ae92 C52 on my bluetop, but when I looked at getting another gearbox I decided the fit looked a bit too close, so got the ae82 C52 box instead.
