I'll just sit by my window with my laptop and put in just about every car that goes past

But seriously, I don't think that's a really good idea on their part, we are all aware of the shit people make up on the internet because it is anonymous.

I'm not 100% sure...
but...

This has to be backed up by either a logged *555 call or multiple complaints. I think the idea is if they get several separate reports regarding a single vehicle then they will act.

I *555 some spastic once and the people told me that if they couldn't get a car to check it out that I should log the complaint on that web form...

if they receive 3 or more complaints about any one vehicle/driver they will act on it.

*555 seemed to work for me when a truckie nearly took me out. was in the middle of no where and a cop happened to be nearby so they sent him out. then when we stopped the 6.5ft truckie tried to pull me out of my car but luckly the 5.2ft cop threatened to arrest him, which worked thank god cos he was a big guy haha.

i had one against me once, and it wasn't even my fault. the lady turn to the wrong side and also giving me the fingers, so i followed her, flashed my headlights trying to tell her stop so i can explain she was on the wrong side and turning to the wrong lane, but eventually i gave up. at 6pm the same night, a cop knocked on my door, asking if i drove the toyota, so i said yes, and gave me a ticket for $150 for road raging. I try to explain my story, at the end of it, he just said bullshit, and asked if i accept the ticket or not, otherwise i have to go to court.

To me, this system dosen't work, because who ever uses it first always wins. Maybe good at getting back at someone that you hate i reckon. But really..BS to me!

Go to court, works a treat.

Though then again you have a young boy racer who has watched fast and the furious 3 (damn i hate that movie) against an upstanding citizen... though everytime i've nearly been in a crash its been because a MASSIVE SUV has failed to give way to his right.

I think there are a few of us that got huge amounts of letters in the mail about our "Hnad Brake Slides" and "Wheelies" on Okahu bay.

As far as we know - there was only one person that would report us. I think i am over the 10 mark now. got them all saved some where.. the guy was a real cnut. i think he was bored or just had to make a deal about something - kinda like tree huggers.

If you read the page it does say that a formal police report is required for an investigation to occur.

I rang *555 on a goon who nearly ran me off the road the other morning, they asked me to hit the webpage and submit it there.

I've used it a coupla times in the past for really rediculous stuff but never really seen it come to much good.

I'm sorely tempted to dob in the unmarked police car that overtook me, in excess of the posted limit through a roadworks zone this morning... grrr

hah i used *555 a couple of weeks back on this transit van all over the road and getting real close to other cars etc, cops got me to follow him until a patrol car had caught up with me, when the cops caught him he almost hit the cop car. they pulled him out and got him kneeling on the footpath and he still fell over.

They got him for being well over the legal limit, also he had hit another car in j'ville 15 minutes earlier and takn off, noone had got a full plate from the incident but a good description of the car so he got done for that too plus dangerous driving due to my statement.

all of this at 3 on a saturday afternoon and the dude was WASTED

Mmmm. Tough call.

I was doing 60 in the marked 50 zone and every single other vehicle in sight was going faster than that. (he musta done 70 or so to get past me.)

I have his rego written in the car... still might. :P
