Postby FYADUP » Wed Jun 21, 2006 11:10 pm

I want to use 8.5 c/r turbo pistons for the 20 valve, and i want to use aftermarket cams n cam gears etc in it

Whats gasket should i use for this? And also is it true that "cams match the turbo not the engine"? If so can someone please shed a little bit iof light on this matter for me?

Thanx Jason

If you are talking about huge boost you may want to look at O-ringing the block.
Cams and cam timing will be determined on a host of criteria. Head flow, boost, application. As stated you are best talking to a cam grinder about this.
The answer is Helmholtz!

I know $&#$% all, but I do know in some circles an o-ringed block and wide metal ring gaskets dont work well together...

Wasnt suggesting he use a wide metal ring gasket. I think O Ringed blocks are generally mated to a copper gasket. However I'm not certain, as such I didnt mention it.
