Sump Sealant help

Anyone used any products to seal their sump thats stood up to the temperatures and oil??

I used silastic (black) on many occasions without any problems.

Like sergei, have used that or have used whats known as RTV, orange in colour, both work well & have not had issues with heat with either

I bought a tube of the Toyota stuff off revhead for a pretty good price, maybe drop him an e-mail.

yep, the black toyota sealant is the best stuff you can get for use without gaskets like gze sumps, sets super hard. The orange hi temp sealant that is used with chauking guns is a good for general use also

You can get it from any toyota francise, Ive never payed for the stuff as work always has a tube but I think they are quite expensive. 60- 70 bucks a pop from memory

I've never paid full retail for anything toyota and I dont think I wanna start now. That would take away valuable avgas money :D

I think at this stage I'll go for the other stuff and when I do it properly (next oil change) I'll get some toyota stuff.

I'd third that. Used if many many times with still no leaks years later.
