Looking at replacing an injector pump on a desiel 87 hiace, how easy is it and whats the usual cost of one? Is fitting one from a wrecked one fine or best to go new?

with a s/h pump you dont know what your getting, personally id remove yours an get it checked out by a fuel shop.

yea, a friend was looking at a van "in need of a new" injector pump, it was going super cheap, i had a feeling the fact it was going so cheap kinda meant that the pump was guna b top dollar...

get it rebuilt.
or a 2nd hand one rebuilt

And before you take it off to get it rekitted, mark the pump and the engine so you can put it back on in exactly the same place otherwise your timing is going to be all to arse
