New Clutch Model No.?

Postby tomo1985 » Mon Jun 26, 2006 12:40 pm

Hey guys finally went and bought a new clutch today fron good old BNT. Just wanna check the model number is right before I start pulling things apart.

It is to go in a AE111, black top, six speed Carib.

Its a Exedy TYK-6932 (this is the code for the whole kit)

It would be much apreiated if someone could double check this for me.

Just for future reference BNT gives great disscounts if you just ask. Got it for $195 down from $279.

Yeah its just across the road from the old mag and turbo. $450 seems pretty expensive for a replacement clutch. Mines just a exedy with something like 15% more surface to grab better.

$450+GST ex Toyota?

You're obviously asking the wrong dealer mate.

Sounds like they've priced up each individual part as opposed to the kit.

Ask for a price on a 31200-AE101. RRP normally $250 INCL GST.

Yah, already sent email off to warwick the other day, eagerly awaiting reply.
Also, they said 5 hours labour for the job, is this reasonable? They charge 80 an hour, so i wont actually be going to them for the job, I would be mroe than doubling the price of the new parts!

edit: just got a reply from ilam toyota here in chch:

kit do not match. But it could do the job? I would not guarantee this.
The price of 31200-AE101 is $239.06 if you would like to try.

does anyone know that this actually does work/match and this guy doesnt know?
