was that the program where they got 4 teams with those people movers, and they had like 6 weeks to fully customise them? a couple of teams went v8, and a couple went turbo? wasnt it mounted near the gearbox or something?

Hey, at least it sounds like a 3s.

Just for interests' sake, the early HKS turbo kit for the gen1 CRX, had the turbo mounted at the bottom of the firewall, next to the steering rack..

Yeah I remember seeing this show a few months ago. Would be a tiny turbo just to give the thing a bit more grunt im guessing.

They're more common than you might think - they actually make full kits for them for my car - example:

http://superchevy.com/technical/engines ... 411sc_sts/

or http://www.jlturbo.com/ - they even make kits for Hilux's

Main producer of them is www.ststurbo.com

I've seen a FMIC on an SW20 before, but apparently that was really bad for lag.

deisels did this... those spitfire (plane) turbo deisel things didnt they?

exhaust manifold - > turbo exhaust housing -> downpipe -> turbo exhaust housing -> downpipe etc

imagine the force required to get them both up to full spool!
