20v turbo not firing up??HELP!!!

Hey guys,
V5 link, got fuel, got spark, got cam timing right, got wiring right but she aint firing up.

any help please, REALLY want to drive it:)

Got the link from Link themselves, have just got it back from them after checking the ECU and dizzy.which is all good.
The link is telling me i have a pulse and the coil is giving me a spark.Im using a link igniter with std 20v coil.

The thing just aint firing up, and man its anoying

Any Clues????

not really a i was just going to ask if it had been set up to suit your dizzy is your ignition timing ok ? or maybe cam timing 180degrees out im not sure a sorry

On the laptop, go to the screen with the analogue looking rev counter and se if it stays steady at an rpm when cranking,
or keeps flicking from 0 to reading rpm to 0 to reading rpm etc etc.

If iot keeps flicking to 0 you have a trigger problem.

Nah, ive got a good steady rpm.
Ive just taken the timing cover off and i can see 2 dots on the intake cam pulley, a big and small one. the exhuast has a 1 small dot.
with it at the moment the small dots are lined up sweet but with the tappet cover off you can see the inlet valves are pused in on the compression stroke...ohoh.

What is the big dot on intake pully

Silly things like ignition wires going to the right cylinders?

Whats your signal grounding like? Make sure thats a very good earth.

With the crank on TDC on compression no 1,

there should be two dots lined up with the notch's in the cam cover,

and I think there should be a dot and a line that meet and line up where the two cam wheels are the closest.

Yep, it was the inlet cam.
The large dot lines up with the mark on the cover and the smaller dot lines up with the groove on the Exhuast cam.

So, got it started but the exhaust manifold (wraped with exhuast tape) was smoking hard. Looks like there is oil on it but no idea where it came from to be on the outside of the manifold(strange).

Matt: do have a restrictor on the oil feed for the turbo???if so what sort?

If thats new wrap on the manifold then you'll find it does smoke for quite a while, goes a lovely baked-on brown colour after a while. Perfectly normal.

There was ALOT of smoke,
But its the only thing that can explain why it looks like OIL on the outside of the wrap.

Still think i need a restrictor for the turbo oil feed though,it's runnig about 42PSI oil pressure.
Turbo is a (GT28)"ball bearing"

New wrap does that. TONS of smoke and smell, and it will go dark looking like oil burnt on it.
