Because he wants an opinion or two perhaps? Why ask a question like that when it would take just as much effort to suggest a car? The point of TS is to provide a place for people to help other people in regards to toyotas - not to berate them into feeling like an idiot just because they don't know as much as someone else.

How about an n/a sw20 mr2? From what i've heard from mates/people on toyspeed they are very reliable and fun little cars. You could get a tidy one for 5k :) Good luck with the search.

Buy a KP60 for $4-500 and spend the remainder on making it go fast.

Heh I am a bitof a noob when it comes to car specs, I was just wanting some opinions/things to look out for on different toyotas. After something with half decent fuel economy, a nice sport lookin coupe would be nice so I was thinking Levin/Trueno.

Get a KE70 sedan, will probably be about $1200 for one that isnt rooted now. Set of Hotwires will be about $300 off TM. Set of King springs will be about $400, add another $80 to compress them further.
Get some extractors and exhaust, around $500ish

Voila - instant "old skool" cool

Nah, for $5k you'll be hard pressed to find a 94> thats decent. Might be able to get an ex-lease Corolla or summat
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!
