Abba, Roxette and Ace of Base.... brings back good old memories, of home and beatiful girls. Miss the girls more than anything. Now ended up in the part of the world which lacks them :(... Oh wait but I have cars to play with... some times I think to sell all the toys and buy a ticked to go back and bring myself a beatiful wife ;)

maybe I'm getting old, but I noticed that there are no more good bands like those, which conour all of the world.. just pop music crap, and wannabe rock band. And bloody Rock FM, could they stop playing nickleback every 15min???

Correction..... they are the pensioners of rock.

That said, it has been a very long time since any new music of note has been played on the airwaves that really captured my attention.

You know how with some bands, where the singer died, you wonder "Damn, I wonder what their next album would have been like"

Well Metallica are the band where I wish they died horribly.

Metallica was awesome, because they made brilliant 'angry 20 year old guy' music.

Then they got a bit older, more mature, the music market changed, and realesed LOAD of crap and the sequel.

Then, when the album sales were crap, because they sucked, they blame MP3s, instead of (heaven forbid) admitting that their albums were crap.

Then to try and reclaim some of their former glory, they release an album that's 'back to their roots'.
In other words, making an album that people want to hear, not what they want to play (Recipe for failure)

Not only that, ripped off Johnny Cash's idea of playing live in a prison.
(Probably hoping that it would do the same for them, as it did for him... However the utter lack of talent on Metallicas behalf clearly made this impossible)

They tried to make another album full of 'angry 20 year old guy' music.... But it didnt work, because now they're flaccid old pensioners.

$&#$% METALLICA.

I would rather listen to pink floyd... well atleast they are real music genuises and don't copy anyone (and some of their music is very emotional eg - comfortably numb is very good example) but I think for pink floyd is best to see them in action, as far as live performance goes there are noone who does same quality music live as it was made in studio. Metallica had its days, it has lost its touch.

SK, the problem is, that even when I try listen to some old metallica stuff, (Which I used to enjoy) it's tainted, because it reminds me of their new stuff, and how sad and pathetic they are today.

I cant just enjoy it, which is why I take the '$&#$% METALLICA' stance on the matter.
Metallica had it's day, and they realised this... Instead of disbanding, and pursuing other musical pursuits, they decided to change their style completely, to try and milk it a bit more.

Skin me alive if you must, it wont make the truth hurt any less. :P
