Thats lucky man. But also it sucks as well as you have only pretty much got the car going, and tuned, and now your pulling it apart.
Similar happened to me except i lost compression on 3 cylinders, they were down to 60psi and the other one was 180. Turned out it had broken the top ring on the pistons, the engine had only done bout 5000kms. (too much boost with crap fuel and faulty knock sensor :-( )

pretty good at the moment as it wheels spins lots and takes away alot of the load :d
but the cvs are starting to click, maybe cos i've got it too low.
might have to do something custom abou the cvs etc later on down the track.

first i did a road tune to run it in so no figures of anything.

then when it was run in we tried to tune it on a roller wheel dyno and it didnt work :?
we tuned it on 8psi (187kw) and a 7k limiter. played around with the vvt then tried to up the boost to 15psi but it just kept doing burnouts on the rollers.
So i had to wait another month till edgell could tune it on a hub dyno.
I ran it in for 1000km and its done 3500km now.

well had the first drags for the car this weekend.
it rained a few times so cars were driving on the track to make it dry.

after all this, it was DAMN slippery!!!!!!!!!!!!! my times ranged from 13.4-13.7 at 190kph, the best was 192.6kph to be exact, all the runs were done on 20psi, I should i lowered the boost to try and get traction but i dont think that was going to happen. Then my clutch started slipping really bad, if it didnt slip it just wheel spun like crazy, 3rd gear wouldnt even hook up just spun so had ot hook 4th early.

So overall a pretty crappy day, but the car definatly has the speed and another 7psi more to crank at it, so I need to get a better pressure plate and some mickey thompsons :D, then back to the drags.

anyone know where ot get mickey thomsons from??

Yeah man, my mates runs in DOT rated Hoosier drag slicks. He bought them from Cardwells.
They are very sticky 8)
Cost about $700 for the pair, unsure on the size though.

Not really the first time out for Bazda, his PB was a 12.5 last time I checked...

Always frustrating going to the drags in a fwd on a damp day :?

Not that it really matters anyway if the track wasn't properly dry but what tyres did you have on it to race?

Saw you in town driving past the upside down bungy thing on Sat about lunch time, car looks good on the road.

had some old 15" race tyres on but they didnt grip well, put on my 17s and did the same times.
12.9 was in my old car on a nice sunny day.

finally getting some traction but launches are still pretty shitty.

Still managed a 11.6@205 , ran heaps of 11.7s as well, just couldnt get off the lien properly and the standard LSD is not holding up at all, keep getting 1 wheel spinning which isnt helping with the launches.

plus I think I'm gettign fuel surge at 1/4 tank of petrol so gota sort that also.

Will be 10s ONE DAY! :D
