Small port and big port fuel rail?

Postby ants_ae92 » Mon Jul 17, 2006 1:35 pm

Hey guys,

Probably know the answer to this already, but just want confirmation.

Is there any difference between the 2 fuel rails? I just have access to a smallport intake manifold but no fuel rail. And I have a smallport head and block I want to use with my turbo conversion.

Cheers

Yup all 16V is the same. From memory some have a pulsation dampener some dont, but that doesnt really matter, but could be wrong on that.

Yeah, they are definatly not interchangable between small and big port.

Been there, tried that, and failed.

not the same, have seen a bigport rail welded up and new injector holes milled into it,
unless you could do it yourself or a mate would cost a bit to have done.
