tyre size, ae92, bz-g rims

Postby Cakky » Tue Jul 18, 2006 6:52 pm

hey guys, picked up some standard bz-g rims for my ae92 GT, gonna shine em up and get them powdercoated probably black ( its a good advantage having an uncle with his own powdercoating company lol )

the car has low king springs on it, whats the max tyre width I will be able to go?? I believe the wheels are 15" X 6"?

sorry if this has been asked, used search, but the search function really is a pain in the ass to use lol.

thanks

however to maintain the accuracy of the speedo I would use 195/55/15 or 205/50/15.

Wider you go, the higher profile you get, why do you want 205's? 195's would be more than adequite.

Yeah 195's will be a good width for improved handling, but you won't suffer the tramlining effect of wider tyres.

As above.

I've just bought a new set of 195/50/r15's. Previous tyres were 55 profile, and I had a problem with rubbing at almost full lock. No such problem now.

195/50's probably the way to go if its been lowered with super lows,

195/55's could be alright, but 205's will probably rub, ive seen 205/60-15s on the front of an AE101 FX-GT that had been lowered 8O
