4age running ruff

resintly the 4age in my fxgt has been running like shit.it studders when its idling and when you change gear down from 3rd to secound it dies,same thing happens when putting into first.

can ne one help?

Hows it doing oil/water wise? My FX-GT use to do the same thing, i had to ride the accelerator and left foot brake when slowing down to the lights as it wouldnt idle it would just die.

Problem with mine tho was major, and yours could be something minor like one of the vacuum lines being blocked on the intake manifold.

Check the hosing for the intake assembly... the plastic hose between the air cleaned and throttle assembly likes to crack on the underside... could be a dodgey mixture..

Could also be something to do with your airflow sensor... if 4ages use them.. wait.. some of them are map and some not.. correct?

Yeah some do and some dont...

Im pretty sure all late model ae92 gtfx's were small ports... which are map sensored... if the throttle assembly has ribs its a small port... youll know them if you have them.... otherwise itll say 'tvis'
