Procedure for putting in new glass

Hey all, some fags broke mums rear quarter window last weekend (1994 Mitsi Mirage, sedan). I have got a new window, but its being a bitch and wont go in. There must be a trick to it, but for the life of me i cant work out how to do it. Any help would be appreciated

the divider strip is held on by screws under the door seal and bolts lower down (behind door panel),undo these,sometimes you have to remove the door window ,.remove rubber gasket .refit onto new glass ,fit back onto door ,push divider strip back into place,fit screws and bolts,refit other glass,door panel.Hope this helps.

You can actually do it without having to take the window out - whatevers easier for ya.

You have to have the main window down. What I did was pulled the rubber liner out from the corner window and cleaned out the bits of glass and fitted it around the new one. Next you unscrew the top screw from the divider. You can bend back the divider enough to kind of slot the glass into place. Just start at the low corner and sort of just angle it in. Get the base aligned and push it up into place. Once the glass is in make sure its firmly slotted in and realign the divider.

Yeah that info was great! Got the window in without too much of a struggle....

Everyone on TS always talks about how they would beat the crap out of people they catch screwing with their car...I on the other hand have a slightly more sadistic plan. If i ever catch someone im not going to beat them, no. I am going to lock them in my shed for a week. That should be enough time for the bastards to learn a lesson
