Could you just not change the mount/hinge so it's at the rearmost end of the fuel cap?

yeah i might have too ..

the problem is there is no room for the hinge on that side, also the piece inside (where you put the nozzle) is on a angle, so the release button wont fit either

Get one from a car with it on the opposite side, will then open the opposite way. Or just shift it to behind the taillight.

MKIII+ supras have this.. the filler is on the drivers side :)

most that were sold in the US should have their filler on the drivers side... which is infact the passenders side in the US - duh! :)

AE/TE/KE 70 all had them on the drivers side, most had a cable popper.

If not a toyota, most things Euro should have them on the opposite side.

I thought most of the E7's were key operated? The one I used on my Corolla ute was from drivers side of a Subaru Legacy wagon, I had it flipped around and mounted in the tray.

Z30 soarers have the filler on the drivers side and are operated by a solenoid so that us lucky soarer owners dont have to stress about pulling a cable every couple of days to fill up

There is also a cable that you can pull that is inside the boot when the electrics fail.
It is a myth that emos are contagious, and you may be infected. However, it is still widely accepted to wash your hands after physical contact
