haha you will needa do some testing or look in the axle hole as I think things are abit over the place in this post, As my car is currently runing a box off a 96 s/s no lsd, if anything its a factory option, its more likley people who payed xtra for s/s would also get the lsd
BZ-R gearbox has TORSEN lsd. We had it apart and unit is not sealed (as in: there are holes for oil to get into). Viscous units are sealed (e.g. center diff on ST185/ST205). Also torsen LSD behaves like an open diff when 1 wheel is in air. While viscous is resisting with one wheel in the air (Proved by trying to turn one front wheel in the air GT4 with all other on the ground - it resists, a lot. Also if handbrake is on and car (ST205 gearbox) is in air, in gear it will try to stall if clutch is released) .
well the c56 is in the late ae101 including wagons and sedans etc, and the ae111 5 speeds, also including wagons etc. the only ones with LSD are some preface lift ae111 bzgs
yea keep note that the cars not new so you never know if the box has been changed... if CircuitLevin was from a bzr it may have been changed at some point.
And I can count atleast 4 people that have had a ae111 lsd box apart that all say its a helical and iv seen a helical out of a BZR
hmmmm
i know the basics of how a helical works, but im no expert
is it possible for them to have a gear ratio so the LSD action is quite low?
i know if they cock a wheel they are effectivly open. but its the "tightness" changeable by altering the gears inside?
