The Suspension Bible - Lots of info - Online

Postby WanaGo » Mon Jul 31, 2006 9:56 pm

Hey,

Just found this while parusing the net. Though some of you may be interested. Has all sorts of suspension listed, and details of them. All about strut braces and sway bars etc too.

http://www.carbibles.com/suspension_bible.html

Does the GTT have Sway bars? It has front Strut brace, and have read the rear canopy acts as a rear strut brace (semi)... but does it have sway bars?

Cheers

Haven't you looked to see yet?

Yes it has one, and you can buy uprated ones from Cusco.

Nothing "semi" about it, it is a strut brace, and quite a substantial one at that ;)

Hey Fivebob - wow I got a reply from you!

I had a look at the canopy brace the other day, when I was with Mascam. It didnt look that substancial - but if you say it is, it must be.

Is the sway bar in the front or rear?

No I havent looked underneith to be honest.

Fivebob - did you get my PM's a while ago? I cant remember what I asked now....

Cheers

That's because you posted in the public forum (hint)

Did you take it apart and see what's under the plastic cover?

:)

from what I could see of the canopy brace, it just looked like sheetmetal. No I didnt take it apart however.

Nice Mikey. Did it make any noticable difference?

Nah, they don't tear off, but they do get bent and scraped badly, which makes them very hard to take off
