4agze into ae101 wagn, wont idle but drives...

1- hey guys in new to this so any help would be great!! ive just completed putn a ae101 4agze into ae101 wagn, got it all goin and had bad idle problems. once up to operating temp the idle would start fluctuating by a couple of hundy rpms an then die...any clues?...all standard, except frontmount intclr...standard ecu..oh an i turnd the idle up yo 1100rpm and it manages to stay goin an drives fine...turn it down an it dies..

2- just started missing when driving now and stalls as soon as i stop..if i start, it starts an then dies imeidiately?..sprk plugs fine, replaced fuel filter...was thinking it could be the standrd 1500 fuel pump?..im running 9.5psi. thanks heaps guys!!

What motor was in it originally, you said it was an AE101 then said it had a 1500cc motor in it?

You can get 1500cc ae101... 5afe.

And yeah, i would change the pump, and I would guess that you have vaccuum leaks in your lines somewhere to cause bad idle.

yeah it had a 5afe in it...it seemd that the problem off missing got worse and worse, is that what happens to fuel pumps or do they just usaly kark it?...oh an another thing should the fuel pump be pumping when my key is on acc or when i crank?..at the moment its only when i crank..cool or not cool?..thanks for ya answers. il try post sme pics soon!!

ANYONE HAVE A 4AGZE FUEL PUMP FOR SALE?

I thought that too... aren't they AE100's? I mean not that its too important.

Fuel pump should be pumping when ignition is in on position and start, not accessory though.

yeah sorry the 1500 was out of my ae100...dam well identical cars tho.
sweet thanks for that. the pump must be had it then it doesnt pump when in on position. but i testd an theres definately power goin to it..

more problems with the wagons...hey bud i have the same setup in my ae100 wagon. Sounds to me like an air leak. Check all hoses on your manifold etc. Mine was really rough with idle and i blocked up the appropriate hoses and not idles mint

hey matt, simon here from ohope, i sold ya that silver bumper a while back..thanks for the help ill have a another check an see if theres anything misin. wagn just flew through cert an wof the other day, looks prety mint now its all done, was goin hard till the pump crapd out..if i put in a turbo supra pump would i just need to hook up a fuel presure regulator aswell do ya recon?..

or its caused by the length of your intercooler piping. try running a topmount and see what happens

dont think its the intercoller set up as from memory simons is the same set up as mine. as for the fuekl regulator...o dont know but would assume so

are you still having problems? do a leak down or compression test. sounds like a cracked piston related problem
