yeah seen them thingies on the AA site. thought there was a cheaper alternative $170 is alot for some one on little-to-no income! ahhaa

oh wells... if thats whats needed then thats whats needed.

i thought that there was a theory only course that could be done too, and was cheaper. last i remmeber of this was about 3-4 years ago tho didnt have the practical component

yeah, now its conplusary to do the practical.

Sucks, but thats the only "approved" one that I know off, doesnt teach you much, but the accutal driving ones where you go out in a car for the whole time teach you alot more I reckon.

That one is all about spotting hazards, and getting you ready for a full test.

check the yellow pages for driving instructors/schools. do a ring around to find out their prices - AA has always seemed to be more expensive than anywhere else

I think they've only recently brought in the practical side, as I was thinking of doing a defensive driving course a little while ago and you didn't have to do anything practical then, but before I got around to doing it I could just go and sit my full anyway so I didn't bother.

i had to site a driving evaluation as part of my interview process.

work paid for it, so cant help you on costs, but they are pretty helpful there and should be able to sort you out

Does anyone know if there is a physical (as opposed to theory) driving test in Dunedin? I.e. to learn car control.

I'm still not terribly confident i know how much oversteer to apply to any given car and am not keen on testing it out on public roads or anything.

Will be buying a track car soon, but would like to know a little bit of control before anything else happens.

I did mine at AA Quay St. Cant remember the price but $170 cant be far off. (I did mine back in 2000 or so, though.)

I've emailed an old friend who works for Passrite as an Instructor/Assessor - will see what he replies with and let ya know...

have done the holden one last year ment to be doing again at some stage
