Trade Me Question... hmmm

Postby MrOizo » Fri Aug 04, 2006 10:09 am

When selling a car as a classified, is there an easier way than having another whole listing if you were to relist as a Auction?

cant seem to see a way of doing it :?

Yeah what Santan00b said :P

the free re-listing is just exactly that, a free re-listing of what you previously had, to change from one to the other is gonna cost, sucks I know but thats trademe

If your car listing has expired and you didn't find a buyer, you can relist it for free, as long as it is within 45 days of end date.

Please note that when relisting a car you cannot change the orignial listing type i.e. you can't change an auction to a classified or vice versa.

If you change the listing type you will be charged a new listing fee.

I just checked my account history and there is definitely only 1 charge for $24.95 - they did not charge me when i changed from classified to auction! I guess they have since decided they can rip us off more effectively by charging to chance listing type...

It is free to relist your motors auction within 30 days of it expiring.
To increase the likelihood of your item selling, we recommend that you:
Try lowering the start price.
Try lowering the reserve price.

Notice the difference  So which one is the correct one   someone needs to update their help pages I think

I know thats what you mean :P

I just found it rather funny they say one thing on a help page & a totally different thing in the automated email

I agree with you, you should be able to select the tpye of listing when re-listing and expired auction.
