My corona blew up on the way back from dunedin, bearing for no. 1 rod wasn't very healthy. Engine was pretty tired anyway so got another engine out of the paper with a radiator for $110

Clutch and pp looked in better condition than the one on my old engine so I left it on there and put gearbox back on and into the car it went. Engine ran sweet but couldn't get it in gear, turned it over on the starter in gear and could crunch through gears but clutch wasn't disengaging. Figured it's stuck to pp or flywheel so tried starting in gear with foot on clutch and brake but wasn't releasing. Pulled gearbox back off and clutch was rusted to pp, good whack was all that needed to come off but it was pretty screwed. Anyone got some similar stories where not checking something simple wasted a lot more time?
