hey
i have a 5k ready for my ke36 but i don't want to use the fan on the front of the engine
so was wondering if anyone can point me to guides or something on how to install an electric fan because i have no clue how!

the easiest way it to wire it into teh igniton and have a manual switch you flick on when it gets up to temperateure.. that what i have in mine. or can run a water temp switch that flicks on at a certain temp.

Ive put an electric fan into my ke70, all i did was wire up a relay with the signal wire coming from an on/off switch inside aswell as using an after market temp sensor that runs in parallel. The sensor has a probe that slips inside my top radiator hose and is adjustable so you can set when temp you want the fan to turn on.
Ive had no problems with it and is far easier than having to keep turning a switch on and off. I have the swith inside just incase the sensor fails. Ive just tryed to find a photo for you off the net but i can find one......
I got one from Fraser cars, but thats the other end of the country from you! Im not sure where you could get one from sorry

The fans they sell at supercheap (thats what mine is) are pretty good, they have a shallow mounting depth, reversible, they come with a bag of bits, relay, wire, instructions etc.. there is three ways of mounting the fan (1) there is little mounting tabs tha slot into the sides of the fan then you bolt that to a frame/radiator etc..(2) there is plastic rods that pass through the fins of the radiator act very simular to cable ties, except I didnt like there mounting brackets, so (3) custom brackets were made.
I think having the fan controlled by a temperateure switch is the best way, but having a manual over ride is also good idea.

Try to find a K series thermostat housing with the temp switch already in in, shouldn't be too much of an ask I would imagine.
Wire up to appropriate fan and away you go.
