Hoary looking starlet racing.a.k.a TOYSAN STARVIA

Postby Adoom » Sat Aug 12, 2006 5:45 pm

That was THE BOMB. I only got two runs then I blew out an exhaust gasket before the turbo(stupid cap screws came loose). Easy to fix but need a gasket. I had fun and the oil and water stayed in the engine I was stoked.

What/who was in that purple AE86 that passed me?

Thanks Chelles

yeah was a huge array of cars to see was awesome.

rooted bearings on my turbo during 2nd session, but i still got two lenthy runs in so i was happy. think i managed to pick up the problem before it caused too much damage.

adoom i think sara got one of the nislet starlet on our camera. ill post it when i can figure it out  pretty sure you were about to pass the yellow s15 in that pic tho.

after seeing the lines the guys on slicks could get away with ive so gotta get me some, it was insane the entry speed they could carry onto the straights.

dont flatter yourself too much nic

Mee too, it was sucky watching my car go round the track without me behind the wheel,

I was waiving flags and timing runs at the end of the pits most of the day

Your car turns and stops amazingly, and i suppose you arent a too bad driver either

I'm just glad you told me after that last corner that you were out of brakes

Was definitely a good turnout! The wee charade only lasted 3 sessions though - still unsure of whats wrong, but the drive back was long an arduous - felt like we only had 2 of the 3 cyl in opperation!

Pics will be up on the Driven Performance website by mid week. Anyone else with pics who wants to add them to that collection just email me :-)

The day was FREAKIN awesome...the wagon behaved really well bar the blown out manifold gasket, which luckily I had a spare of.
Thanks to all that made it happen, and to Leon for showing us the proper lines :D Makes a huge difference having someone who actually knows what they're doing in the car with you.
