Brakes

Postby lotstodo » Sat Aug 19, 2006 12:55 am

Recently I have had my front discs replaced with new ones. My brake pedal feels much stiffer but the brakes dont bring the car to a stop anywhere near as quick as they did before. Do they generally get better after a bit of use?

Yea up to 50km before a new set is fully bedded in, im taking it you had new pads fitted too.If you used the old pads then it will take quite a bit longer as the pads will take time to wear to the nice flat serface of the new rotors.
New rotors come with a protective film of heavy oil that needs to be removed befor fitment too, if this is not done then you notice a lose in performance.
