i managed to destroy my 4age

well not actually destroy it completely, just managed to run a bearing, i think a combination of a 4age with the km's getting up there and rather high compression caused the bearing to go

so yeah its a little bit gutting

so does anyone out there happen to have a real mint shortblock 16v for sale?

or i'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and rebuild the sucker (not fun when your a student and income is kinda lacking)

Why go through all that trouble to replace a whole engine when all you need to do is replace the bearings and polish the crank, or at worst replace the crank?

because there is a good chance the rings are getting tired, and without a doubt the crank will be $&#$%, and the rod (if you heard the car you would know what i mean)

so if i have to get crank, rods and rings, and bearing and then fully rebuild the thing, its gonna cost a shit load more than just buying a good block with good bottom end

bear in mind i'm a student, i do not have disposable income
