while we are on the topic, can the clutch be changed without pulling the motor?

yeah just drop the g/box out, no need to take the engine out

yep that should be good.how many bolts hold on the clutch cover?and what about the dust cover thingy?

It is quite straight forward really just once you take the gearbox off have a good look at it as is to see how many bolts hold the pressure plate on. The tricky thing is to get the clutch plate hole inlinewith the hole on your flywheel, otherwise it wont be too easy to get ur gearbox back on. I forgot to put a few of the bolts back on the pressure plate and got told that my pressure plate could have flown through the passenger seat ............man that would be freaky 8O . anyway just remember to put them all back from where they came.

they g box is aldery out and it was taken apart ages ago
