Ae10* suspension and brakes

Postby soopachargen » Fri Aug 25, 2006 4:24 pm

I'm looking at getting an ae100 or ae101 sedan... dont know what code they fall under. I've searched and come up with a whole lot of contratictory answers. I wanna know if I am able to bolt my suspension outta my ae9* rolla hatch. My mate just put the suspension out of a ae100 wagon into his ae92 fxgt, i'm just curious as to how well it will work for me.
Also am i able to swap the GTZ brakes over from my hatch if i take the master cylinder and prop valve etc so that i will have discs on the rear?
When in doubt, down and out.

shocks swap over fine, just the brake line holder an abs(if it has it) need to be changed, to swap the brakes you prolly also need to change the hubs over

The GTZ brakes off a 101 (twin pot) -susper strut, can replace the single pot mc pherson strut ones but lots of bits need to be machined..

Ive done it, really its not worth it. Just get some good pads and bleed the system properly.

there is another way to convert to twin pot with out messing with rotor size, and just a bit on the caliber needs geinding down and sme customish brake pads (quite easy)
