Reaseach i did said he was one of the best but i guess theres allways going to be 1 bad experiance story about someone.

But to put your mind at ease if its a good deal your happy with after shopping around i personally would take it, As no horror stories.

Another good one is Randle ( tp ) from Edgell's on the shore, but hes an Autronic tuner by main but im sure he may be able to quote and tune somthing else.

Yeah it'll be a V5, basically you either get a V5 LEM or a G2 these days, most of the plugins will be going G2, that way you get proper cam control like you need for late model STi's etc.

Akane it could be worse, you could have to sell both kidneys, your heart & liver & go to Turbo Vehicles & some of the other places out there, I've seen some stupidly expensive invoices from other places like $5K to supply, install & tune a Link LEM think it was either a V3 or V4 from memory.

Havnt had such good experiences with Edgells. tuned up a b18c turbo before i knew anything about tuning.. ran something stupid like 23degrees advance, vtec at 7000rpm. blew the engine within a month.

Thats unlike Randell, he is expensive but he does most of his business on his reputation so I doubt he would have cooked a tune up that bad. Ah well, suppose they can't get it right all the time - although you would hope they do.

edgell does a few of the suepr gt cars (v10 viper, chesters evo) and also does Zohabs evo, he is a very reputable tuner and even gets payed by other companys from america to go tune their cars!!!

The thing is with Randall your personal relationship with him seems to affect the quality of the work.

My brother-in-law got bitten by him on the rebuild of a BDA for a Formula Atlantic car some years ago, lets just say that the quality of the work did NOT match the premium price on the invoice.

I have heard a lot of good reports on cars and engines from Randall, but I have heard almost as many bad reports and issues with BIG bills (In some cases $50K+) and average to poor results.

Bob Homewood has a VERY good rep.

I've never really had any bad experiences with Edgells, known them for years & have dealt with them for years as well. The vast majority of people that I know of that have been there keep going back as they seen to get a good job done at a reasonable price, without any major hassles. I've always got what I've asked for from them & the odd time I've had to call them regarding an Autornic they've always been more than helpful & generally send me stuff before I've even payed for it & I don't even have an account or buy heaps of stuff off them.
