:D Good Call... I can understand where your coming from...

Thing is that auckland is big enough to have more than one type of stereotype here... so while there are a lot of complete and utter cocks jockeys here im afraid you cant generalise....

Since we're dealing stereotypes - wheres the 'Indian' and 'Chinese' options ;)

I was driving to work today behind an Asian woman in a Toyota Estima, who was quite oblivious to the fact she was driving perfectly smack bang straddled across the divider line between both lanes on our side of the road.

Ah didnt think of that...

To me those people are fairly harmless as they are completly stupid/passive and generally stay out of the way (or at least out of the fast lane)

Whereas the cars i listed above are commonly either...

a. sitting in the fast lane when they are not passing anyone...
b. sitting in rush hour traffic leaving a huge gap in front of them
c. Not indicating
d. changing lanes aggressively
e. speeding up when you go to pass them
the list goes on....

A few stereotypes that come to mind:

The SCSM.
Safety Concious Soccer Mom. (Yes with an 'O', as I believe the SCSM was an american trend to start with)
The SCSM isnt a good driver, and she knows it. She's going to crash, and it's only a matter of time!
However nothing is more important than the safety of her, and her swag of ugly children.
Now some people would argue that if you know you're going to crash, a light vehicle with a small mass would be the best, to minimise impact from intertia etc.
However some people would be wrong!

Clearly, driving a 2.5 tonne 4WD is most suitable vehicle for her.
So she can decimate any poor soul that obeys a more 'correct' interpretation of the give way rules.
Since every other incompetent driver out there has a big 4x4, clearly the only way that joe bloggs will ever be safe on the road is to get one too.
It's like the arms escalation race in the cold war, only this kills more people.
Hooray for ignorant $&#$% faces that make the roads an unnecessarily dangerous place!

2. The honourable samurice Ronin Warrior.

These honourable and noble warriors, are avenging a fallen master, who was defeated dishonourably in a VTEC highway battle. Their master was more than likely slain, when their opponent secretly hit the NAAWWSS.
These honourable warriors will not stop, until they have avenged the defeat of their master, by beating anything else on the motorway, with their 1.5l SOHC 'colostomy bag brown' Honda Civic.
Unfortunately, if one of these modern day Ronin were to (Theoretically) beat someone in a race, they dont seem as keen to commit seppuku as per their more traditional Ronin counterparts.

Well since were talking plainly :D

its ok.... because statistically your not the only person in the world to do this there are countless other arrogant goobers in front of you that are slowing you down as well...

So your getting your own punishment.... you just to obsessed with yourself to realise it... - does it start to make sense now?

you are slowing your lane to a speed much slower than the other lanes... This is causing people who cant see your schoolyard antics further back to change out of your lane... this is slowing down that lane and causing people to change out of that one, and so on.... Your single imature and basically pointless action has really done nothing... youve taught the person behind you nothing.... as all he is trying to do is keep the flow of traffic, all you have really proved to him is that people like you should be on the bus where they cant affect other motorists just trying to get where they are going(if everyone drove in rush hour traffic with 1+ car lengths in front of us our motorways could not fit all the cars required...)

So yeah... think about it and buck your ideas up... dont worry... you can still reply back and attack me and then change your behaviour.... you'll still keep face... And regardless of what you say it wont affect me because the logic in my arguement cannot be beaten... Your actions are effecting everyone behind you negatively... and since the needs of the masses outweights the needs of one... you are in the wrong my friend

At the end of the day if everyone left a couple of meters between the car in front and concentrated on the road the traffic would flow a lot smoother....

RIght my fingers are tired now

I'd say Holden drivers are the most arrogant!
BMW's are very close tho, I saw a new 8 series I think, brand new looking, pull right out infront of a truck, and the truck sat on his horn and the lady int he BMW just waved 8O

And I HATE people sitting up my ass, easy fix - handbrake.

And I hate wankers in Te Rapa that drive along side you and hang out the window "GO GO RACE OI RACE"

 Halelulah Brother! I have seen the light!

Seriously, I know what you mean... The whole "i have a big car therefore you should back down" attitude really drives me nuts. Up my way (rural) there are also a load of 4x4 drivers who dont seem to be able to take corners at speed... so they drive about 60 instead of 100... and then when they get to the straight they accelerate to 110 and make you put yourself at risk of a fine if you want to pass....

It gos down to the whole "arrogant, self obsessed prat" section again really doesnt it?

Perhaps we need to define the whole "sitting up your ass" thing... if we're talking 3 meters at 100k's then yeah... slam away... if were talking a metre or so in bumper to bumper because youve been in your own little world and not keeping up with the car in front of you then you should be on a bus.

I still think that if im not traveling at the speed the rest of your lane wants to travel in then i should move over... just because i want to drive slowly why should they?

oh hell, wheres any middle aged person, regardless of sex, car driven, what hand they "wave you off with", which hand they use on the horn to signify "hey thanks for not crashing into me after my dumbass move into a gap barely big enough for my slightly balding head to fit in"?

The more I drive, the more middle aged people do the funniest/stupidest shiet in front of me.

One git in his holden passing a HUGE line of cars on the other side of the road, with cars coming, he was booting it, maybe 120 in a 50k zone... Though its alight, he obviously was in a hurry to get somewhere

Another complete and utter bitch sitting up my ass in a 50k zone with me sitting around in the usual 55-60 zone, her honda oddyssy supercar jst waiting to open up with all its mighty power once she got a gap. But rather than a gap, she then overtakes me on median strip with traffic coming the other way...

Some middle age fella obviously did not like that I had not let him into traffic in front of me, so taking the same corner as me Im just going along minding my own business, hes on high beams, and the second the traffic cleared he tries to boot it off around me and down the street, saw it coming so sped up a little bit, he was coming around, then all of a sudden... he spots the traffic island that he was guna hafta go across to get back into the lane. It was an older holden...lets just say, smoke anyone? screeching tires? Though, nothing learnt, kept on sitting on my arse all the way down to the traffic light where i again turned off on my dangerous journey home...

The stories go on and on and on, I vote for middle age wanker who shares the medias viewpoint that anyone below his own age with a sporty import is a little shit boy racer that keeps him up at night with my stock standard trueno, no sub, petrol consumption on the mind (nana most of the time). I must be the cause of all his lifes problems.

This pole makes no $&#$% sense. You can't steriotype a car just because you think it's a 'Wanker Mobile'...

I personally think that anything Honda/Mazda/Ford/Porsche/Ferrari/BMW/Merc is a POS Wanker mobile. That does not mean however that they suddenly become a sterio-type.

Steriotypical drivers however which I'm not going to go into detail with at the moment as I would get banned for speaking my mind and letting the public know what I really think of them are:

1. Asians - They just can't bloody drive no matter how you look at it.
2. Indians - Mostly limited to a bunch of $&#$% taxi drivers but please refer to the above aswell for this one.
3. Anyone with a cap that's not on straight - These are typically young white males who pretend to be black 'home-boyz' and wants to race every 2nd car to prove to the brainless blondie sitting next to him that he has a big PeNiS.

Out of the options, I voted BMW drivers, as a vast majority of them seem to think those orange lights on the sides of their cars are there purely for decrotive purposes.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I find those cars that have reflective paint all over them and funny flashing lights on the roof can be real wankers sometimes

Even tho I drive a Skyline, I agree
Mostly R32 drivers, think they're the next Steven Sole of Te Rapa

and rota drivers annoy me, was following an old series 1 one night, both pulling out from a road, and I was behind him, he took ages to get to 60, and it was that gay-no-muffler-bridgeport yo, and when we got to a two lane road, I passed him and I got the finger 8O
