Akane, things have changed and its not uncommon for opinions to differ on certain jobs - ie your broken 2540 (which was 18 months ago im told)

Well that's nice that they both worked on your HKS/Garrett BB turbo, what did they do? Chris provided you the wheels and Steve murch rebuild it? Then back to Chris for the VSR balancer?

As I said it was quite a while ago and things might have changed, you don't need to remind me what I've said already. Ofcourse it's not uncommon for opinions to differ on certain jobs, just like how your opinion differ to my past experience and FACTS with alltech. But the fact still remains that when I took in my "broken" GT2540R, alltech could not rebuild it, while Steve could.

Yeah things might have changed now, thanks for letting me know.

i enjoyed rebuilding RH9's turbos myself... (thats two of over a dozen i have done) (steve only made the bearing cages & some spacers) it was even more fun when i got to drive it ... not every day you get to step into the drivers seat of a 415kw 4wd monster..

Things have changed in the past 18 odd months, i dont want to buy you car now akane in what ever condition it was in ... over a year ago i brought myself a 1996 GT-S Mr2.. and things will change in the next 18 months.... actualy i give it about 5 years before this "New Ball Bearing technology" will be behind every one & we will be playing around with the "New" VNT turbos (which the technology is about 20 years old)

We can rebuild the Garrett Ball Bearing Turbos even the GT2860R S15 Turbo, Yes they came out Ball Bearing Factory !!
your turbo was alittle past repair for us, if steve rebuilt it & the person you sold it to was happy. good. when steve rebuilt it i hope he made some money, & when you sold it i hope you did as well..

if your recent discovery of us being able to rebuild them is of any help to you or any other person that we may help, i'm happy...

i was entertaning the thought about doing a rebuild swaps for your ST205 Atw i/cooler ... if you want to let me know...

sideways you have a Pm...

Chris.

Interesting to know.

We have a few of the XR6T falcon turbo's that have damaged wheels on them. They guy we used to deal with first told us they were not rebuildable,
but now is telling us that he can put wheels on them , but not spin the fast enough to ballance them or something.?

Pm me your business details and I'll pass them onto dad and he may be in contact.

Chris that's very nice to hear that alltech can rebuild Garrett GT turbos now, I'll see how things come along but so far I have hold off plans to swap the a2w for a rebuild job, but definitely interested in a rebuild depending on price. Thanks for the update.

ok i get sick of reading this crap on forums to which forums are responcable for alot of problems in the industry where well known people in the industry use it to try and distroy the opposition and hide behind a bogus name and think its funny. next up is i dont care where people go to get turbos done and that inclueds myself as its a freedom of choice which i belive is done by reputation to which soon travels fast, but more so when its bad to which they jump on the closest forum to let the world know about it. Alot of you my find it hard to belive but those who wont a good job use a thing called a telephone and speek to customers face to face and deside from there, another thing i find is i send around the world to people ive never meet and get less greef than the some locals who chose to go by what their mates said. From that things turn to crap then run out of money and go crying to pros beacause they didnt listen in the first place but now have no money.
you have to ask yourself the question do you belive everything you read on the net that hasnt been copied and pasted from some where to which you still dont know if its true.
Right back to the topic above, i do things alot different than others and pride myself in proving others in the industry wrong but with solid proof not hear say, i also take on jobs that no one else wonts to know about. majority of them come out great but some have to die in the process but thats the risk you have to take. As far as alltech goes they are the only people i deal with in this country and have done for many years and have no intention of changing.
I have an excellent working relationship with them in both helping and doing the odd job when needed to which they look after me very well.
You need to understand that i have alot less overheads than they do so i can afford to take the time to do things they wont cause for them its not cost effective but by no means does it mean they cant do it.
The most comon thing i read on forums is how do you get hold of me? you wont as i mainly deal with the trade and cant keep up with this or export orders, for those who take the time and matureity to read this bear in mind the harm you do to people when you speek before you think.
not everyone out there is trying to screw you over, some are just rtying to help,
cheers steve

well said Steve.
forums are very similar to the Target program. a so-called expert can claim a job wasn't done correctly, just because a different method was used, or a different result was acheived, and all of a sudden his name is plastered over a forum with usually devastating results.
I've been a bad bad boy. I should read the rules and behave before I get spanked by an admin

f#@k you i won't do what ya tell me

i dont confess to know more than the next guy i just dont belive everything i see or read which is why i do what i do. i put a personal touch into everything i do and every job is done by me so for those ive read about in here i own mse and not just work for it.
everyone is intitled to their opinion and i listen more than i speek which is a good way to be, smart arse coments about others out there or like i read more and more those that have a problem wont to take that person to court! please were not yanks and youll find that talking to the person concered and keep a level head may just solve things.
one thing im getting sick of is fixing others screw ups and yet when i tell them to go back to sort it they wont, so they get charged twice.
yes ive been there and done that but so what! im still learning more and more every day and the more i learn the less i really do know.
heres a good rule of thumb i use, in your group of friends you have you find you know more than them find another group, in other words look listen and learn cause the net is full off very bad advise and people wonder why i dont advertise, i do what i do cause im very lucky to have the skills i do and turned my hobby into a business thats been around for over 15 years, and like seeing others benifit from this,
ive stopped helping out on forums due to this sort of thing, also people copy and paste and use this against you. its a pretty sad world we live in when this goes on and to be honest with you itll get alot worce before it gets better,

Hi Steve, I note you've said you mainly deal with the trade. I would like to get my GT28 looked at as it failed after very few k's and I need to do this before rebuilding my motor. If you are able to do this, could you please pass on some contact details? (PM me if you don't want your number/email on this forum).

Cheers.

PS, Im in wgtn so I will need to ring to discuss before sending.

not meaning you
meaning anyone who has allegations would want to know first hand rather than the normal hearsay dribble you hear on forums

the problem isint other conpanys bagging with other IMO its that you only hear one side of a nrmally bias disgruntaled customer who rather bag people on a faceless forum than talk to the shop owner and get some attual action

just my thoughts on it

I think you were meaning me before? If my post is read, I am bagging on compressor, as I called him up, organised a few things, then he got back to me with a rediculous price, unsure words of timeframe, unsure about alot of things really, so i notified the rest.

What I am unsure of is that actual companies are on here bagging of other peoples products, As Steve said happens alot, and I said Thats the first Ive heard. Yes its a one liner, but its all i needed to say? Not every one needs to post 500-800 words to get accross that they need more business

sorry i read it wrong and as you know it can be hard to pickup emotion, your right you dont need to write 500 plus words for a reply, but one thing i can ashore you is i DONT need more work(I cant keep up as it is) and thats not what this was all about, i got a bit carried away with the moment.
some of these people i speek of slip up from time to time which is how you get to find out who they are, as i said this will get alot worse before it improves but aleast i willing to take a stand and use my real name, no offence to those that have posted,
cheers steve

Nah all good steve.

And yes, i think half the problems on forums occur because sometimes people jump to conclusions over mis interpreting what someone has said!

When I get my turbo done, you will be the only one ill go to steve, I saw what you have done with sharyn and dwaynes gsr turbo, i never could have thought such a small exhaust housing could have gone with that front thats on it, I want it for my 4age dammit!

thankyou for the kind words, out of all of this the thing that gets up my ass is i spend alot of time with people around the world and give them the time and free advise and to have it throw back at me over the forums, that also stands for people ive sponcerd over the years and you get nothing from it. i now prefer to keep to myself and do as good a job as i can, im far from being the best in the turbo world but i do take pride in what i do,
thanks for listening , cheers steve
