Recommendation on MKIV Supra Specialist

Postby SuperSupra » Sat Aug 26, 2006 10:34 pm

Hey,

Does anyone know which of the Auckland Toyota dealerships (north shore, city, manakau etc.) would be best to take the mkiv supra to for servicing?
Need quite alot done and really want someone who has had history with ja80s / 2jzs working on it!

Cheers

Theres a guy named Malcolm who works at North Shore Toyota who went to Japan and won NZ's top Toyota Mechanic in a world wide Toyota mechanical comp they had over there.

He works on the Lexus' though :P

And is probably a bit over the top for a service! They're good over there though. Service manager is a top bloke. Owns a mint as 240Z as well! Not sure about Manukau though, I only really know the admin people over there.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

sup henre :P

bit more than a reg service, valve clearance needs looking at, timing belt needs replacing, spark plugs need replacing, new brake pads need to be fitted all round along with new brake lines, a bearing needs replacing, all fluids need to be replaced... etc.
just want someone with a bit of experience with these models so they get everything right and know the little in's and out's...
I'll give ns toyota a call, see what the deal is, cheers.

It's amazing how people still spell and say it wrong after actually seeing how it's spelt at least 2 dozen times. :?

Dude, for that sort of work you can take to any Toyota specialist or mechanic as it's mostly the same sorta stuff over and over.

The mechanic I use is Ray from Sonic Automotive in Manukau. He does very good work and a very friendly fullah.
