removing windscreen from ae92 levin

hey guys whats the safest way to remove a wind screen?

i'm not sure in the specifics....

but its easy enough if its held in by a rubber seal, if its not got a rubber seal holding it in, I think they are glued.... so maybe out of luck....not sure.....


so if held in by a rubber seal, collect up all ya flathead screw drivers and slowly slip them inside the rubber seal and slowly, in small amounts lever it outwards at the same rate around the windscreen while pushing a bit as well to push the screen from inside the car outwards...... works on kp starlets anyway which is held in by rubber seal

Take off trim around windscreen, get a large, sharp needle, attach a length of decent catgut (fishing line) to it, poke a hole through the glue seal, grab one end of the line in one hand outside the car, and with your spare hand grab the needle inside the car, and use a sawing motion around the entire windscreen to 'cut' the sealant off. Once you've gone around, gently lift the windscreen from underneath, or if its' sticky, get a friend to sit in the front seat, and use their feet for a little more force..

Yeah, lol.. I've found out the hard way before, found myself sitting in the front seat covered in pieces of glass wondering where I went wrong!

all good, best way to learn is by f**king up I reckon, as u will never do the same mistake twice (hopefully) so learn fast.

my last lesson was removing the gearbox from the KP...... hmmmm oils pissing out the driveshaft end.... I cant fit it back in.... and I haven't taken off the gear stick boot..... so its hanging / supported by me under the car pissing oil everywhere good times!
