 depends if she will settle for a registry office wedding
as the $$ for a wedding would pay for a good chunk of a new car!

yes, Sam and Emma both hit the front with subarus, with Todd mixing as well.

we may have a new champion , but bring on Nelson to decide the other winners.
i reckon Hayden will be on fire (if the car behaves) as it is the only NZRC round he has competed on previously, and top rookie and junior are still up for grabs.

yeah, whatever..........gloat!!

it's nicer to say 'new champion' than to say 'same boring outcome as last year'!!!

i honestly don't believe it will a Westy/Mason show to themselves next year, unless Emma ends up overseas.
besides, if it wasn't for an anxious pair of sidecutters, Chris could have also won it , with a round to spare

haha, yes could have gone the other way.

interesting the stories you hear about that seal in the service park

yeah will have to wait and see what happens next year.

we're certainly not confirmed for next year, and subaru are cutting back on involvement

the seals are a hard call.

if , for some unknown reason, a seal is broken, it is then deemed that you are cheating, even if other seals are intact, and the components are legal.

wouldn't surprise me is SNZ pull most of their money out of rallying, they did in Oz, and have gone to circuit/targa events.
maybe when Chris drove the last round of production cars, it was a sign of things to come??

yep cant make a call on that as we wernt there.
however my gut feeling is nothing untoward was under way, they are to pro for that, and i doubt dwight would make a cheater.

yep, id just about put $$ on that

I can answer this one with a scenario for you...

Cut seal that allows you to replace lots of components that have been highly illegal, with legal components.

Ring MSNZ and say whoops we just cut the seal five minutes ago, and we haven't touched a thing.

...

That's what every other team faces the possibility of, if one of the other teams breaks a seal. Also, don't believe that it doesn't happen. It's not to say that this would happen often at all, as the majority of teams as a matter of pride wouldn't cheat. Some teams however will do *anything* to win, because it's not about the sport, it is about the winning.

yes. hard one. thats why those rules should be rigidly enforced. i do know that on occasions certains teams have had certain regulations bent slightly at times. things such as no parking zones in service, extra cars in service, service vehicles deviating from the route book etc.
whats to say that those same teams may expect to be able to do the "oops accidently cut the seals " scenario mentioned above?

but this is going off topic

the topic is WE WON :P

Yes, you'd be surprised to learn of some examples of cheating from the past and just who is/was involved. The articles of the championship are a contract and are required to be upheld without fear or favour.

Well done Warwick. It was good to see the local team pull off the win at our event once again.

I have to say though that in the limited opportunities I had to spectate Hawkeswood was by far the most spectacular and it would have been great to see him get on the podium, at least.
