Postby AE85.6 » Sat Sep 02, 2006 11:43 am

powered by the pussy cat 2L, (1gfe i think)
i was just wandering about the drum looking thing in the middle of the intake piping, or what its purpose is ?

and also the airbox itself has 1 plug going into it which i assume is the cold start or air flow sensor ? and one vacum line going into it. If i replace this with a pod filter it should be ok as long as i plum the sensor and vacum line into the pipe the pod filter wil sit on ?

chur

Drum is a resonance chamber/dampener, Plumb the air temp sensor back in, think the vac line is bleed one from power steer, can leave this off, but might as well plumb back into new pipe. GX90 is pretty funny with intake, quite loud.. auto will still let it down :D

so its just there to make induction noise quiet ?

also when you say its loud, how loud ? like funny loud or ?

spose i could leave the drum in there and just stick the pod on the pipe where it leaves air box ?

not to stressed aobut it just something to drive while working on other car but this gx90 is an awesome cruiser, its like driving a couch to work, its slow so im glad its auto, i just didnt see point of replacing shyte panel filter was all.
