To the law, a boyracer is that driving a "nice" or "old peice" car, dangerously.

Frankly im sick and tired of the press, as in newspapers, and SOME tv news that puts a handful of boyracers in the spotlight and ruins it for the rest of us.
Every body knows the old man driving 120 on the motorway and 65 in a 50km/hr zone is more dangerous in his honda accord than a boyracer in a bagged merc goin 2 miles an hour (so everybody see's you).

Personally I want to shove it to the press and make sure the car enthusiast's do not suffer the fate of others.

yeah thats right, but there are probably more cocks on our roads with standard/factory cars. as they said on 20/20 the other night, only 3% of accidents are actually a result of boyracers...

i've almost crashed my car about 3 times last week as a result of other people being dicks (old people, or un-attentive drivers - not boy racers or anything).

the media do love one sided stories, but theres a couple of journalists I know who are open to listening to the other side aswell, not that that would actually do much nationwide though

At the end of the day, "boy racers" (also known as anyone with a car that isnt the lowest model you can get) arnt going to go away. So lets put it this way.

Here is Wellington some girl got killed. Bravo, It was boy Racers. It was 2.30 in the morning. This the greather Wellington Regonal concils fault. Why you may ask??

Well, about 2 years ago, many many car enthusists used to patrol the Wellington streets on Firdays and saturdays, With stuff all racers going on in town, it was all about the crusing. At 12, everyone would head to an unmaned Celtex, where everyone would meet, and then Head on a cruise, this could be to where ever, but usually ended up in Poruia Tip Road. Where, drag racing took place. Now If I remeber correctly, I never saw an Accindent, or any deaths up there, and there was never any public. If you were there, you were there for a reason.

So they put a by-law in. Now cars under 3.5 ton could go up there bewteen hours so and so. So what happened, everyone started to stay in town after 12, where as before, there were no cars in town after 12......

So once again the council has ultermitly been the reason for a death.....

Thats my rant, I could go on.

Oh yeah, I also saw an article about a crash in Wellignton. Why was this in the News Paper, Oh becasue it was Boy racers who caused it.......

But why Is that news, People crash all the time.... And once again, Its the Councils Fault. Why
Well, it happened round the basin Reserve.... The turing point of 2 one way streets, sort of like a big dirty round about. but behold, afew years ago, there are little gaps in the center of the two one way roads, where you can turn around with out having go round the basin. But what does the council do...... They close off these gaps, after the hours of so and so.....

The Gorvernment, is going to Ultermatly be the reason For a major increase in the road Toll....

How? Well, Tell me. We All know the Government should take GST off Petrol... AS it is stupidly High.

but how does this cause An increse in road toll deaths. Well, The Sale of Motor Cycles Went up 45%.......... Thats Right, nearly Half as much as the previos Year.... So thats 45% more poeple on motor Bikes........ Which are a high reason for The road toll......... So what happens..... More poeple Die.... What does that Mean.... That means Your Regristration Fees Go up, due to Higher ACC Levys.......

People buying bikes doesn't make it the governments fault that people cant drive as they're supposed to. Sh*t happens due to peoples inability to control their vehicle in the situation they are in, this is not due to the governement taking GST on petrol. There are a lot of bad drivers on the road, they are the reason for the problem.

As for the boyracer issue and people getting a bad name over it and hassled by the cops etc, just drive your car legally and dont be a dick and you wont have an issue.

If you didn't notice.. about 2 months ago the registration fees went DOWN due to the ACC LEVY's being REDUCED.

Come to Te Rapa in Hamilton on a friday night. The police don't target boyracers, they target fukwits. If you are just cruising round, minding your own buisness in a sacked honda/evo/rx7 everything's fine. However if you're laying diesel down and drifting round the roundabout drunk in a stock 1990 Ford Falcon, they come down on you like a ton of bricks. I don't know how different hamilton is to any other city, but the hamilton cops seem to be pretty good really.
