yer i didnt say i speed through speed works. i just dont like going slow because everyone else wants to go faster :P but i still go slow at the end of the day. :)

When I did mine the recall stuff was pretty much exactly what you do in defensive driving (if you have done it) and I got a lesson with an instructor just before the test to make sure I wasn't doing anything drastically wrong. Came out with only one bad mark and that was because I didn't look in my rear view mirror enough.

you have to mention those yellow hazard signs and always turn round and check your blind spot when merging on the motorway

Lol, failed my full twice in my Skyline, once for not stopping COMPLETELY at a stop sign, I was like cm's away from a full stop, but oh well, second time was for a dangerous u-turn, "car had to make a dangerous move to over take me"
I didnt know driving past someone, staying in the same lane was a dangerous move.

Third time, done it in Saab and passed. and I reckon I drove worse in the Saab lol.

that the people tailgating you whilst you do the speed limit are fully unaware ur sitting a test (unlike restricted when you have big Ls) so they usually appear more pissed off, my licence fella had a good laugh as theyd all go crazy and start over taking, giving fingers alotta the time.

sometimes the person you're with won't like 5th gear at 50kph, had a couple of friends being told to change to 4th when at 50kph. But its not something thats "failable"", it just keeps the person a lil happier. everythings been covered really. I scored suburban streets that were empty for most of the test, so my hazard identifaction amounted to "woman walking down street 30m away, parked car down street" most of the time, it was great.

dude i just sat my full a couple of weeks ago and couldnt believe how easy it was honestly, i was real nervous thinking it would be hard but its piece of piss, the instructor just tells you what to do, simple, just drive like a nana and youll be sweet. imo i think ya restricteds harder to get than ya full but i guess it comes down to the instructor on the day

No, they don't pull you over, you point things out as you drive. I remember that I went overboard and pointed out every little thing, like cars parked on the side of the road, said that someone could be in the car and just throw their door open. The guy actually got annoyed with me and told me that was enough.

Keep at 50kp/h max, and on the open road tests, just stay at around 80kp/h. Thats ok in their eyes and you're nowhere near speeding.

They can't do that. What they DO do is check that it is currently road worthy. IE give it a mini-WOF. Make sure all the lights are working, all indicators are in working order etc.

No current WOF or rego = Fail, do not pass go.

If you have a current WOF and Rego, and everything is in working order, and they discriminate against you and say your car isn't road worthy, then you better holla at somebody.

I dont know...I removed my 3.5" muffler cannon when I went to sit mine...( In the days when I thought loud was cool :roll: ) I think that they are biased...even it it is unintentional...go in a nana car! :D

i did mine in my loud as vtec integra back in the day...passed fine its fairly easy you shouldn't need tips if you can drive well its fairly straight forward and i wouldnt worry about it too much :P jsut remember to do the little things EG. frequent mirror checks etc etc

but for your full you can sit it in manual/auto and drive an auto/manual.

Yeh, eritates correct

Restricted, if you do it in an auto, you can only drive an auto

Full, if you do it in an auto, you can drive either or.

I did it in my mums auto starlet :D

remember parking lot has a speed limit its like 10ks ... my friend reversed out of the park and then drove 40km/h in the parking lot and then the instructor told him to take a right turn and go back into the AA parking lot ... he failed in less then 3 mins ... haha :lol:

I was told that the testing officers often don't have a problem with "boyracers", due to the fact that most of them know their cars, have very good spatial awareness, and also spend a lot of time in the seat, getting to know their limits, as well as their cars.. as opposed to nervous females, older folk with no awareness, and the empty-headedness of foreign drivers!

As was said above, just drive like a nana, obey all road laws, check your mirrors often, you'll be fine. And always ALWAYS hold the wheel in 2 hands, they'll fail you for leaving one hand on the shifter..
