D2NZ Drift Session 4

23rd September 2006

Pukekohe Raceway Pukekohe
Puke D2 Drift session 4
The next round of our popular D2NZ is set to hit Auckland’s Pukekohe Park raceway, on the 23rd of September. This is the best way to learn how to drift. Not only do you get a full day of drifting but you get one on one tutoring from New Zealand’s best drifters.

The day starts of with a morning of professional on track Drift training with slaloms and other skill tests. Then at midday a short competition with your chance to qualify for the D1NZ Championship in front of Chief D1NZ judge Thomas Chen. Finishing off with an afternoon of open track time to perfect your newly developed skills!

You don’t need a rollcage to enter D2NZ, but you will need to have a helmet and full length cotton overalls at least. Your car must meet general WOF standards however it does not need to be road registered. Chances are you will need a few sets of rear tyres as you don’t want to run out of tyres just as you start to get the hang of it.

So if you want to enter the D2NZ Drift session 4 at Pukekohe, just head to www.d1nz.com for more info and click on the D2NZ tab on the left hand side. Download the entry forms below, fill them in and email them to matt@d1nz.com And please note, its cheaper to enter when you are a Drift Club of New Zealand member, just download the membership forms, follow the instructions and fax them in.

D1NZ Round 5
The best D1NZ drifters will be sliding their way into Taupo September 30th for an action packed day of drifting at the Taupo Motorsport Park for Round 5 of the National Drifting Championship. 40 drivers will try and impress the judges to qualify for the all important Top 16, where drivers battle head to head until the winner comes out on top and takes home maximum championship points!

Look out for series leaders “Fanga” Dan Woolhouse and Gaz Whiter to maintain their stronghold on the D1NZ Championship. But don’t count out Sean “the coach” Falconer, with a mathematical chance to take out the 2006 championship he will stop at nothing to gain maximum points on his quest to become Drift King.
