Well its been bloody ages since I posted.

Been away in Canada for 4 months now. Still ages till I get back to my beloved Celica.

I got a fair bit done on the website before I left but unfortunately couldnt finish it on time.

Hope all the projects are comming along nicely. Look forward to meeting when i return next year.

Here is how she looked after the new paint job when I left the country.

loving your 28 sheepers, did you score the RA25 taillights or did they come with the car???? very rare over here, i know of at least 1 other set in the country but i'd be surprised if there's any more.

Would love to get access to a scanned copy of that man, got an 18RG, and would always be handy

hmmm, its time for me to start work on mine again. i'm needing some front struts to fit an RA28/TA23 to start with, i started a conversion with some corona one's but can't find the steering knuckles to suit my balljoints so i'm after some stock ones so i can get it rolling properly and in a straight line for a start.

cheers

Hey im thinking about sellin my ra23 1976 project, very complet car but needs just a little panel and a paint, may sell with 18rg w50, clutch, 40mm webbers etc. curently has an F (7.5") disk rear end(you put the altezza lsd in there :D) and M spec 4 pots and disks on the front, is certed for a 3sgte, w55, and the disk brake rear end. maybe happy to sell a w55 with 3sgte convertion bellhousing clutch fork etc... bonnet has had rust work done (not the flashest job on the inside of the bonnet if you looking for it), has full window seal kit and nolethalen suspention kit. Oh and has pedders shocks, lowering springs, front 24mm (?) sway bar.
There is probably more ... Oh driveshaft and mounts for the 3sgte (probably go with the gearbox)....Lets just say everything for the converstion into that car minus the engine, turbo manifold and inlet.
Anyway dont want to give it away (as id by giving away to many years of my life :() Reg is on hold.
Open to offers, but will split up if and sell as bits if i cant get money that would give me temperary relef from my sadness...
oh and have you checked out http://www.restored.jp/

Cheers

**Edit**
All this will end up on trademe and other places in the not to distant future :)

did you cut firewall to fit the 3SGTE???? i seem to remember Marcus saying something about it is all. if not are you interested in selling the S conversion stuff separatley (gearbox, bell, clutch stuff, mounts.......)???

i can give you a call if that would be easier, Marcus gave me your number ages ago. been meaning to call you when i come down to Tauranga sometime so i can check out your celica's.

cheers

Hi Matt, yes good call, I did cut into the firewall and make a recess, I have since cut the recess out and got an original peace of a ra23 firewall to be put back in. It is not exactly the same shape but would be a no-brainer for a panelbeats, and quite do-able for someone with some skills.
If a 3sgte is to go back in it with the disy then it requires this cut as I perposly mounted the engine quite a way back. If a 3sgte is to go in with out the dissy, (or 3sge) with coilpacks then just needs a small area of massarging for the water outlet.
Ill be hanging on to Marcus's old RA28 and keeping my 3sgte for convertion in to it when I get sick of the 3sge.
There is the option that i sell the RA23 with all original running gear, and keep the big brakes and diff for myself....
Open to peoples offers and interest at this stage.

Thanks

Oh and ill put up some pics some time a :)
