Cat Removal

Postby BZ Touring » Fri Sep 15, 2006 3:03 pm

Lads

Car is a Corolla BZ Touring (20 valve black top). I'm thinking of removing the catalytic converter, but have a couple of questions:

1. Can anyone provide comment on the benefits/downfalls (from experience).

2. I'm a bit concerned that the removal of the cat will cause problems with getting a WOF (especially given the recent introduction of stricter emission laws). Any comments?

The car is standard except for a super turbo muffler and K and N panel filter.

Cheers.

It will mostly probably not have any big noticeable different TBH.

Just remove the cat, gut it and put it back in.
That way WOF people won't care...
