well, not quite but it'll do

out on a mission lastnight, on our way home from way out the back of town in the wops, and just as i got closer to town doing about 7000rpm in 2nd then accelerator went soft. i thought the cable had broken but when i took it out of gear to coast off the side of the road noticed the revs were stuck on about 6500rpm 8O 8O

so i switched the car off and got out to check out what was going on.....

luckily neither of the screws/bolts or any pieces broke off and when into the manifold...still pretty weird for this to happen. anyone else seen anythin else like this??

all good though, just tweaked the throttle back a bit so the revs were stuck on about 3500rpm instead of 6500 and cruised back into town at 40km

hahah exactly thing happened to me last year on my way back from D1NZ Rotorua Street round... going at 100km/h in 5th at night time, then pedal to the floor 8O try to flick it back by tapping it as i though is sticky trottle.... end up turning off the car and drove to the grass on the side of the road.. Happened at near Marton.

Well temporary fixed it with some rubber band and cable tie
