if i was to upgrade the turbo on my MR2 (Gen 3)
i would look at a garrett GT3082R with a .63 turbine housing.

i wouldnt touch the GT2876R as the 3sgte's dont like them like the SR & RB engines do.

email sent .. (on monday, when im back at work)

$2G won't get you a decent turbo for 500hp.

Maybe you can get one of those whacked out T3/T4 jobbies.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

My T3/4 is rated at 500hp, and I payed around $800. Not a Garrett but hey.
Id say the same spec t3/4 as mine would be perfect to make some good power on a 2L. Bazda is making 330 atw with the same brand turbo. Hes had alot to do with big T3/4s and sells them also. pm him for details?.

off the top of my head.. $2150 + GST for a GT3582R capable of 650 + hp
like the ones found on the Dodson Skylines making about 550hp
& the GT3582R with a .82 turbine hsg on BOOSTN's MR2 (as seen in the latest NZPC)

That sounds about right....... For the turbo alone.

What about oil water lines, manifold (adapters), down pipe, and other misc fitting and pipings?

The aluminium HKS ones wear out, there are better options.

A what?

Don't forget tensioner and pulleys if over 130000 kms or so.

You do realise what that will all cost to do properly?

Well frankly your list looks like a name brand wannabe wish list. HKS cams are good, there are cheaper and better options for gears. Why an HKS gasket, the stock one is great. Why do you want to replace the factory rods? Unnecessary money.

How much have you planned for block work? How much for head work? Clutch? Flywheel? Who are you taking the engine to for machine work? What bearing clearance will you run and what bearings to you plan to use to get those clearances?

500bhp is not a small ask.

i've no idea on blcok work and head work need to ask the guy thats doing it for me first

clutch and flywheel are already done
