uniden alarm

Postby Cakky » Tue Sep 26, 2006 6:16 pm

hey guys

having problems with the glass break sensor on my uniden alarm

when it was first put in, you could tap on the glass with a key and it would go off sweet as, however i found it was too sensitive and i turned it down a little bit and it didnt work at all, turned it back on full, still didnt work.

got a new glass break sensor ( the box part ) and put that in and worked fine for a few hours now it doesnt appear to be working again

do you think possibly the microphone ( the thing that is on the windscreen that picks up the sound ) could be faulty?

any ideas much appreciated thnx

Yeah I would like to know as well.

I have a uniden alarm with glass break sensor too, and when I tap on the glass with keys or even bang on the glass it doesn't even go off. I just hope it goes off if the glass gets broken. Mine's set at max sensitivity.

Nah my alarm is good like that - it doesn't seem to false alarm unless my flatmate drives her car next to it

I have the first alarm set at medium sensitivity, and the main alarm at low sensitivity. If you kick the wheel it will chirp usually, and if you boot the wheel it will go off. I just can't get it to do the same with the glass sensor tapping on the window.
