FxGT snow edition?

Postby rolla_fxgt » Mon Oct 02, 2006 7:16 pm

Anyone know if there is any truth to the snow edition story? or did this dude just get sold a bundle of porkies when he brought it?
How would one find this out anyway? is it an extra letter or something in the frame number?

Any info revhead to confirm or deny this snow edition story, or any other edtions of the fxgt that are around.

Come factory with snow tyres? :o :)

GT4SUM's one has a sticker under the bonnet which has "Snow Version" on it - maybe be the same thing except this guy is trying to make it seem something spectacular? :o

toyota did make cars aimed at the "snow" area....

eg 4wd corollas, 4wd starlets etc..

ultra low gearing too :D (nzcelica has one).

but no "snow versions" that i know of.

like the f1 edition civic?

AFIK there was actually an F1 edition, just had some stickers and some slightly flasher seats IIRC. A mate from high school had one. The F1 edition was nothing to write home about.

'Snow edition' could be similar to 'flood damaged edition'

I've driven a CRX F1 edition. It had F1 edition badges everywhere and checkered interior. Not to mention a Rediculous body kit and wing.

iv asked them for model and frame details
a lot of jap cars did have options for vibrating mirrors heated mirrors and heated front screens for the really cold areas.
EPC shows the "snow version" under bonnet sticker.

i want some of those vibrating mirrors if thats what they have then, cause sometimes in dunedin they'd be helpful, or heated mirrors & screens.

I saw somewhere i think it was an option for heated electric seats on an fxgt, any truth to that rumour? cause thats an option id pay for

Mmmmm interesting...We have a "snow version" sticker under the bonnet of our Caldina GTT - only thing extra that we can think of is that it has heated side mirrors :D

Really?

I've never understood why there is such a huge price difference between these and levins/truenos, They are basically the same car.

Someone might correct me, but theres way more levins/trueno's round than fxgt's so its simple suply & demand, these hold values longer.

Also for me personal preference, i see an fxgt as having classic potential, & more of a sleeper car than a levin/trueno, most people dont realise they pack a little more power than a standard corolla.

Like the time the guy at vtnz in dunners tried to tell me my car was modified cause it had a different engine to it came out with, had to make him check the computer to believe me
