Courier-ing of dangerous goods - who does it?

It is a rifle and most places online have noted that they do not premit firearms...

who out there will courier them?

Will go into the gun shop during the week to find out who they use... thats if they will tell me ! :o

Ill find out from my mate who he used. They made us send ammunition and the weapon itself in separate couriers though.

Sports shops just send it...rifle and bolt together. Couriers don't ask, and we don't tell.

If your a member of the public, good luck :) , you will have a bloody hard time finding someone to carry it, unless you just send the thing in a box..... Ethier that or take it into a sports shop and ask them to send it for you. (explain why and im sure they would be happy, at least we would).

And we use alot of different couriers to send them, alot come on pbt though (as one of our major wholesalers use them).

And further more....

Whats the deffinition of a firearm part? :P

A barrel in it's simplist form is a hollow peice of metal... you don't need a lience to buy a hollow peice of metal from bunnings...or a sports shop for that matter...

A stock is a chuck of wood (or plastic)

and if you take the action apart you have a bag of ussless springs and bits of steel, again, nothing there that you need a lience to buy

and the bolt, what you going to do with it? throw it at someone? Don't need a lience to buy a bolt on it's own... (although you will be treated as you stole the rifle that you want the bolt for...)
