it can be done

parts:

get a gt4 celica

cut the body off

weld on an AE86 body

or

make a space frame chasis with 4wd and 3sgte running gear, then put an AE86 shell on that

i hope you have disgusting amounts of money to do it though

zip ties can hold rally winners together so a revhead special will go fine with them 8)

Well no it's probably no harder than doing it to any other car.
If you think its simple then do it.

Although would an ae86/5 be wide enough in the engine bay, they wern't designed for a transverse motor

If I was to do it I would use a North/South layout and use a Subaru Gearbox with a good gearkit.
You would need quite a bit of Fabrication around the front end but it could be done.

The easiest way to get the bits you need off a GT4:

Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

wow, a pic of brad without a cast or bandage on.

And the 4wd 3sgte 2000 shape celica, sure its been done....
rod millens work shop did the work. That car has had a shit load of money spent on it. I heard close to a mill, but that seems awfully high.

Hybrid rally car perhaps? But then, you still wouldn't wanna crash it, with the shortage of AE85/86 shells.. if I wanted to spend tens of thousands building something Toyota, with 4WD and 3SGTE, I'd get one of these:

Its' such a shame the base model never came to NZ, one of the nicest looking Corollas IMO!
