its all about your priorities :D if you're committed enough to use a car for racing then you're committed enough to make sure you can afford it.

some people put money aside each week to allow for it, others take huge loans , and others do huge amounts of overtime to cater for their fix. some people even choose a race car to their budget that allows them to not sacrifice anything to do it.

it sometimes means you decide to forgo a social life to afford shit , or give up eating altogether

Is it a very big hobby? I put money aside every week to save for stuff for my car. For me its not a huge priority, but a hobby, so i dont take a loan or anything silly, but i work more hours if offered and generally put all that money aside to save.

If you live together and have done for quite a while, she needs to know that you do enjoy it, but as long as your paying the bills etc on time your sweet. If you dont live together, its not like your out racing every day, surely she has some alone time too doing what she enjoys?

i got engaged recently , on the understanding that my car always comes first :D she shall be my 2nd wife , after the trueno

she either comes with me or stays away , usually she brings the wagon along full of tools and tyres and goodies. also handy that her parents live 2minutes from the closest drag strip , so thats an excuse to stay there every now and then.
