4age temp

Postby repowered » Tue Oct 10, 2006 3:02 pm

this is mainly directed at Jebus and Little_Devil

have you guys just plugged the standard temp sensor plug into the 4age?

mine sits pretty firm at about 1/3 up the gauge. but the engine seems really hot like the rocker cover and radiator. not sure if thats a good indicator?

i assume you're talking about the dash gauge temperature?
i just used the original wire from my 3K engine for the temperature sender, seeing as that was already connected to the dash.
mine sits about 1/4 on the open road, or just under. if im just going through town it sits about half way or higher. my fan comes on a bit under 3/4 the way so thats the highest it gets, and thats only if its sitting idling for ages or driving slowly through town (under 50km).

Yeh man, stock wire from the loom to the 4AGE temp sensor, mine seems to read at the lower end of the temp scale, may or may not be because of my radiator.

Either way, works sweet :D

awsome yea mine sits about 1/4 but needs fan. it started boiling when we had it on the tune scope, needs the airflow aye.

runs waaaaaay beter now after bit of at tune. baisicly timing wasnt 100% he set it to 10 Deg, my ae82 is set to 8 - i thought that was the norm.

got the driveshaftl oop made last night at a mates farm - stared snowing on the back!!! dodgy as drive!! some trucks were we stuck and couldnt get up the hills lol. 4age didnt miss a beat :)

got the day off work so going hard out on it today.
