oil leak!

Postby repowered » Thu Oct 12, 2006 9:15 am

hey

got drips of oil coming out between the engine and belhousing. not sure if its coming from the sump or the crank seal or the gearbox. i replaced the Rear Crank seal before the motor went in and has a new Spigot bearing. could see any evidence of major oil leaks around the sump beefore i put the motor in. i think ill whip the gear box off in the weekend and confirm where its coming from.

anywhere else around there where oil can come from - havnt had any clutch slip or anything like that.

engine is RWD 4age in Ke30, t50 gearbox.

I got the same problem, most likely the input seal in your box.

But like jebus said, gearbox oil smells sulphury.
