Someone want to do some fabrication work for me?

Postby strap-on » Sun Oct 15, 2006 2:43 pm

basically I need a pair adaptors made up to fit a filter to the mouth of my carbourators, I have a little spacer off the top that can be used as a template for the flange and then it will just need a tube on the top that once I work out how long it needs to be will double as a trumpet,

so yeah anyone wanna do the work? I know theres people on here like action dan who can do awesome work just not quite sure if this is his cup of tea.

yeh i guess you could take the air filter box off, bolt some trumpets on and then raise the bonnet a bit to get a bit of air goin to them haha, it is a very very tight space. Theres some 75mm ones on tardme but i dunno if there is even that much room haha

Do you not have access to a lathe on base? Surely it wouldnt be too hard to spin up a set of tubes, then get someone to weld them onto a flange.

hey just thought i would warn ya that the length of the trumpet and the trumpet design makes a huge difference, you could just weld on a piece of pipe.. or your could do it properly and reap the rewards

Hah! a carb Honda thread, lol! How does the carb setup work with the EF? Is the carb downdraft? I have a DA with dual carb, I want a decent filter (not for performance obviously, maybe a bit more "roar"!) but my carbs are sidies.. ie the filter is pointing at the firewall, and I have about 60mm to work with!
